Andre Demel, commercial director of Philips Healthcare, believes that the Russian market of isotopes is one of the biggest in the world, and there is a lot of expertise and resources here. “If you combine the knowledge about the products, the knowledge about technology, the knowledge of isotopes and the knowledge of the physicians it will be a perfect combination to treat people. Money is available, and there are several state programs in Russia to support the demand, so almost everything is here”.

According to Mr. Demel, the key issues to discuss at the 7ICI are the shortage of isotopes worldwide and transportation of isotopes, and experts from all over the world are going to discuss concepts of how we can deal with this issue in supplying, developing, producing and distributing isotopes to the customer in the right time and in the right amount of units.
